We have a schedule! Find your child’s team on the attached document which shows where and when all 18 of our LF teams compete. There’s of course overlap with that many teams, but I did request that siblings have their performances spread out if possible. There is a “back page” for the document with VERY IMPORTANT notes from me about avoiding penalties and even disqualifications. Yikes!! You’ll also find a document from the international organization that addresses further dos and don’ts for parents at tournaments. There’s a rough color coded map of the high school to give you the general idea for where the competition sites are. And finally there’s a list of all of our teams so you can match kids to teams and times. Of course the expectation of the LF OM Family is to support as many teams as possible!!!!! I will be doing my best to do the same, but as the site coordinator I’ll be pulled in lots of directions!
Reminders:
Thursday night from 6-8 pm is Spontaneous Night and t-shirt delivery at LFCE. Speaking of tees, kids can obviously wear them to school anytime because of our spirit wear dress code, but we’re in the habit of wearing them to school the day before competitions and then of course to the tournament itself!!!!!
Due to the board of health regulations, we’re having to acquire a permit for our bake sale. We should have it on Monday thanks to Dawn and we’ll have specific guidelines about what we can offer for sale. At that point I’ll be sending out a sign-up genius for the goodies we’ll be needing from each family. There will also be a sign-up sent for working the table now that we have your child’s performance schedule to be able to work around. Thanks in advance for the help with our fundraiser for our World Finals 2019 trip!
Speaking of that, please mark Sunday, May 5th on your calendar. It’s our annual Applebee’s Flapjack Breakfast in Milford from 8-10 am. Tickets are $7 and I’ll have them for sale at Spontaneous Night and at the bake sale table at the tournament.
Finally, on Thursday I’m looking for volunteers who feel they can run a Spontaneous room as we are going to try to run break out sessions and the kids the real feel of the Spontaneous Competition. If you’ve helped out in the past and know the routine, I’d love to get you involved! Thanks for getting in touch!!! That’s all for now!
ALL PARENTS: Please take a few minutes to download the Dos and Don’ts for competition day so no team gets unnecessary penalties! Dos and Don’ts for Parents at an OM Tournament
